A Call to Action: Resurrect the AFCK!

Oh, and I remember before the M4 sprint run, I was wandering around ebay, and I can remember seeing AFCK's going for over 1000 dollars. How many other production knives can boast a nearly 1,000% mark-up after production ended?
You are talking few very limited runs of 806 that went for such price.
806-701 - 100 pcs S30V blade/CF handles
806BK-801 - 39 pcs coated S30V blade/CF handles
806DM - 100 pcs international Gold Class damascus blade/CF handles

D2 blade, production version was highly desirable also, but the price was more like $280-300 at the time.

Ok, so I would LOVE to get a AFCK or a TSEK from Benchmade. I know a bunch of people who would also like these highly regarded knives. I'm pretty angry at Benchmade for discontinuing it.

So here's my plan: Everyone who wants to, please e-mail Benchmade and ask them to remanufacture these knives. If you don't want to write your own, here is a sample:

Dear Benchmade,
I am a Bladeforums member, and many people in the knife community, including myself, would like to see the AFCK and TSEK manufactured again. It would be in Benchmade's business interests to remanufacture these knives, because there is a great demand for them.

Sincerely, ________

You just have to go to the Benchmade website and find "Contact Us." Together we can get these machines up and running again.

Thanks!

I'll bet they'll just try to sell you one of the 50 million versions of the pickachu knife in the harley davidson line. :D

Didn't a BM rep on their forums confirm the rumor that the blue class production AFCK was slated to return in M4 form? I remember reading that somewhere, might have been old news though.

I Love the AFCK models I actually own a 800 and wish I could find a 806 for a reasonable price... I would have not problem at all if benchmade started production again on the 806, I guess we all can dream..

Correct me if I’m wrong but didn’t BM say that the number of m4 806’s was limited by the number of steel liners they could source?

That was the rumor at the time. But since then they released another 2 international LE runs. One of 50 M4 AFCKs and another of 100 S30V TSEKs for Russian forum. TSEK uses same liners as AFCK.
