BladeForums member Bernie wanted some serrations on his 2 bladed trapper. So here they are.

This may be a new service of BladeForums so stay tuned.

What do you think Bernie?

The serration looks cool, Mike. I have a Case too (Shark Tooth, nice name for a serrated edge, huh?) but I gave it to my dad already, dunno if he'll let go..

My question is, isn't it that most serrations have one flat side? If you do the serrations on a regular edge, what would the other side look like? just wondering...

Dan

The serrations would flatten out on the other side making the edge more shallow than the rest. This actually happens on nearly all serrated knives. The only knives which do not have this are knives which a fully serrated.

Were the serrations on the Case done with an end mill? Could this be easily done if the knife was properly fixtured? I would like to try this, on an old scrapper first.

Any hints, or pointers???
