When I received this card from Gary in the week, I couldn’t help thinking of Charlie ;) Of course it helped that I received a package from the good Mr Campagna at the same time. Charlie had told me that he was sending me something RED, and sure enough the package contained a spectacular red soupbone Anniversary Charlow :) Plus some of those special Anniversary pins and a Canadian coin. Thanks Charlie

Charlie even signed the tube, and reading what he had wrote, I was minded once again of the historic nature of Charlie’s Barlow project. They may be the Flavour of the Month here currently, but in my opinion, these are also important traditional knives. I’m sure if some of those old Sheffield Barlows had known that the pattern would still be produced so many years later, their jaws would hit the floor and their hearts swell with pride, particularly if they could see Charlie’s outstanding renditions.

Happy Anniversary Charlie – and everyone whose been following this project from the beginning – and thanks for including me in the celebrations my friend. I’ll be thinking of you on Christmas Day ;)

Well done Charlie.

Jack that is a beauty my friend. I am happy you were able to pocket one today. It's gonna look great with a patina. I agree with you as well. Even as a beginner/newbie I can see past the popularity of these barlows and see how they are more historical than a flavor of the month.

Hope you and yours are well my friend. Merry Christmas. :)

Thank you Brett :) All good thanks. Merry Christmas to you and yours :)

Jack, what a fantastic treasure. The knife and hand written note is a piece of history. I can not imagine this is anything close to a flavor of the month. These knives (especially the Barlows) connect so many of us to our past memories of our childhood and the knives we cherished so much back then. I truly value the effort, thought and planning everyone puts into making these jewels available (Gec, key influencers and dealers).

What a great gesture. I'm quickly learning what a great community you guys have going here. I only hope I can eventually become a part of the family.

That's fantastic! It must be such a pleasure for Charlie to be able to bring joy to the world!

Charlie Campagna plays Kris Kringle. ...or maybe we should start to call him Chris Cringle. Great stuff!

Great looking knife Jack!

Jack, Jack ,Jack, That is so neat!!! You are (of course) so very deserving:thumbup:

Jack, you are such a key to keeping the history alive here in this forum with your historical links and look backs to what ties us to today:thumbup: It is very fitting that this fine anniversary TC Barlow be gifted and carried by one such as yourself;)

A Very Merry Christmas to you and your family my friend:thumbup::)

Wow Jack, a gifted Charlow from the man himself, with personalized notes! It doesn't get much better than that! Good goin' Charlie!

That's a beauty, Jack, and it couldn't have gone to a more deserving individual! Thanks for all your fine contributions to this forum!

Nice one Jack - I was outside a while ago, and there was a warm wind blowing, and I am sure I heard a whisper in the wind that a Red Soup Bone was on its way to you
Jack I think its safe to say my friend that no one else here displays such thoughtfulness and generosity as you do, ever since you came to Traditionals - you have been a blessing matey.
Thank you Charlie for your generosity as well - again you have hit a home run there Sir, just an amazing couple of people involved here

Awesome Jack, I hope to be joining the 2nd anniversary Barlow party soon also, a special member here helped aquire one. Thanks Logan. Charlie sure came up with something special when he created these knives.

No one more deserving than you Jack! See, Charlie really is Santa Claus! Merry Christmas!

Charlie is a great guy, indeed. And you are a well earned and honored recipient, my friend. Great from you, Charlie. Well done, Jack!

Cheers to Yorkshire and Canade :)

Glad you could read the writing on the tube, Jack! That curved surface makes my already-bad handwriting poor indeed!

No-one is more deserving of a little tribute than you Jack. The innumerable guided tours that you conduct, are alone a great part of this forum, never mind your other contributions. And I and others have received many care-packages from you, which are always thoughtful and relevant!!

I tip my hat, and my Extra-Special Bitter to you, Jack!!:D
