This is my problem....my birthday happend recently and instead of physical present I got some cash.....not a problem itll go towards where I need it to, Knife! So ive narrowed it down to the native, atlantic salt, and d2 g-10 para milie. My problem is Im a college student and I dont have a super great income, I want to save as much money as possible....I kind of wanted a usa made knife but I also wanted a boat knife so the salt stayed in the top running....I love the para and have handled it several times but its kind of expensive, i missed the $99 sale from spyderco.....And the native is just awesome and the least expensive out there but does the price and quality outweigh the good qualities of the other two?

Are you sure you missed the Spyderco closeout on the FG D2 Para? That has been a subject in other threads. If so, Knifeworks is a close alternative.
Also, look at the PE Salt 1 as a nice EDC as well.

Man get the Native . Nice knife good steel good price, and if you dont abuse it too much youll have it when ur done college . As for the boat knife the h1 steels and other non rusting steels are overated, sure they might not rust easy but i have a Caly, Native couple Byrd knives and none of them have ever had a spot of rust on them, And i have been in the water many times with my knife cliped to my waist.

Good luck they are all good knives you cant go wrong with any spydie (have you considerd a Byrd knife by spyderco ?)

It was a major fail I kept refreshing the page and was just on the point of getting it when the order button turned into an out of stock message....:( super bummer

Grab the Salt. You won't regret it, it's not a ton of money to spend on a knife, and you'll be rewarded with a titanium clip, FRN handle that's thin and light but still feels like a "real" knife, and of course, a completely rustless blade.

I'm pretty sure that last sentence is a run on, but what do I care.

I'd try and get D2 Para while you still can. They may no longer be on special at SFO, but they are still around at good prices (I just picked up my second one, LNIB sent to me in New Zealand for USD $103). The Para is lightweight, has one of the most secure locks on the market and has good utility shaped blade. CPMD2 is an truly wicked blade steel and we possibly might not get to see it again in the near future.
The Native's a good cheap knife with a lot of fans, however they're not for me as I personally find the grip awkward and a bit cramped. I'd handle one first.
The H1 Salt series are great , I've been wanting an SE Pacific Salt for a while, but at least these will be easily available for a long time yet.

After saying all that, at the end of the day buy the knife which is going to be the most useful to you.

The Native is an amazing knife for the money. One of my favorites knives in hand. Very secure grip and an interesting looking blade grind. Good performer and U.S. made if that is a plus to you.

Personally, i'd get the Salt since you mentioned wanting a boat knife. Depending on how much you can or are wiling to spend, you could get the salt and the native. I don't have a Paramilitary and honestly don't foresee ever getting one because of the type of things I use my knives for. It just wouldn't be practical for me. If it were me, I'd get the Atlantic Salt now and save up to get the para later if you still want it. Good luck!

All the three are nice.
I'd recommend Native to carry and use.
It has the right size, and controls perfectly while you do the cutting job.
