Every fall just before hunting season I go to replace the batteries in my gear and buy spares and every year the specialty batteries are sold out everywhere because every other hunter has beat me to the store. Thanks for the reminder. I should do that now vs later.

or if you carry an edc/go bag make sure its contents haven't been pilfered. I find weekly maintenance on mine keeps it in good shape with the wife and kids constantly in it or wanting something from it

used to have a rule "if you take some thing from the bag/kit, you leave a log entry, that way we know to replenish"...

corollary: if you don't do the above, you lose access, not only to the bag, but to whatever...

Yea the wife needed aspirin this weekend and when I went to hand it to her the container was empty and I said you didn't tell me you've been taking stuff again, rather than be mean she got the backup from my keychain

backups work great, still married
