A confused Canadian

Ontario.com STILL (5/30/08) says:

In 2002, Ontario Knife Company entered into an exclusive collaboration with the professional survival training team Randall's Adventure & Training.

The Randall's Adventure & Training knives have a full flat grind and 57-58 Rc hardness. The handles feature Micarta ergonomic handle slabs for increased grip when wet. The handle slabs are attached to a full tang and secured with stainless steel screws. Each knife also features an extended pommel with lanyard hole.

Not much doubt that they are trading on the Randall's Adventure & Training name without a valid license, is there?

What surprises me most is that the man is an officer in our armed forces. Officers are generally well educated and trained .I recognize that anybody can have a bad day and that confusion happens ( going to Afghanistan can't be very easy) but acknowledging a mistake is definitely the high ground.

I hope the man finds a good knife .

In all fairness, I think it is safe to say that the rat cutlery line is not well known in Canada aside from knife forum nuts. There are no CDN dealers for rat cutlery. There are actually rather few dealers for the Ontario Rat line even though many dealers stock other Ontario products. It is likely that he typed in RAT knives in google and Ratcutlery came up.

Sorry - sometimes us northerns aren't overly bright or polite - all those taxes tend to eat brain cells (or maybe it was the beer......or was it the taxes on the beer.....) :)

Kris I think you may be thinking about " Mil Arm" downtown rather than Suppy Sgt. which is in the West Edmonton Mall. SUpply Sgt does not sell any firearms what so ever. I will also confirm that the problem is most likely the result of Supply Sgt., They have a reputation for being dishonost to their customers and charging outragious mark ups. Supply Sgt. has never met a promised delivery date on anything I have ordered. The only thing I will buy from them is my black BDU's because they are the only place that still carries them.:grumpy:
I live here in Edmonton so I'll put in my 2 cents. Supply Sergeant is a local millitary supply store that I have dealt with for a number of years. Their main focus is military surplus and rifles. They sell CRKT, Cold Steel, Ontario along with selections from other companies. I am not sure who their supplier is, but any time I have ordered form them it has taken a while to arrive. However they have always been honest with me and not given me the run around when things are slow.

Ghostguy- you are right (oops), I always get the 2 mixed up. Could you PM me some details for what your experience is with Supply Sgt. I have always had good dealings with them (only buy sale priced goods though).

Sorry about the mix up guys (I guess another confused Canadian here).

Eh, all you Canadians confused??? Is it because Lord Stanley's Cup will be in the States again?:D:D, eh?

Kris, basically I ordered 20 Inova T4's from them ( they were the only Inova dealer in Edmonton at that time) and they special ordered them since they did not have enough in stock. They made me pay up front for them and gave me a receipt but the lights never arrived. When I went back they told me they had no idea about the order and no proof I had given them the funds. The lights were supposed to go into our work trucks so I used the company credit card. I no longer work for that company but last I heard they were still fighting with Suppy Sgt. I also prepaid for a Spyderco Rescue since they didnt have any instock but when I went to get it they said I had not paid dispite having a reciept. My bank was able to cancel my payment for that though.
