That's one hell of a story man. I'm glad your dog is okay. I laughed when you said the tables turned and she chased the cougar into the tree:thumbup: I know how strong the love can be for one's dog so I too would have been willing to go head up with a cougar if it meant saving my dogs life. The pic of the cat's glowing eyes is really freaky,lol. I take it next time you'll pack some heat,lol. Thanks for sharing, this is the type of story you only hear once in a blue moon.

actually works quite well, one our lion biologists got to find out the old fashion close way

I love my dog so much I think my heart would drop if I saw him square off with a cougar. He is a big dog. 100LBS+ german shepherd. My boggest fear in the woods is him getting hurt. I am not sure what I would have done, probaly gone after the cat. Don't know if that would be smart, but I can't think of much i would not do for my pup. I am pretty sure he feels the same way about me..I hope
