I have a few for trade. All of them are users and I prefer users in good shape for trade.
First is a CS Vaquero Grande ... a few scratches on the handle and a few minor ones on the blade. 6" VG-1 stainless serrated blade. Serrations in great shape, never been sharpened.
Next is a large Kurkri. Indian made, not HI. I think blade is 20", shows light surface rust. Shown with Becker BK9. I'm currently working on stripping the BK9 down to do a forced patina on it, but I would consider trading it for the right knife.
Last up is a Jeff White forged hunter with sheath. This knife is new and never used by me to cut anything. It is very sharp. The blade is thin enough that the knife can flex some. I believe this would make a great all-around hunting/skinning/boning knife.
The steel is 1095 high carbon forged with a power hammer and differentially heat treated. This means the cutting edge is hardened to 59 Rc, but the backbone is left a little softer for overall blade toughness. Osage orange wood handle with brass pins. Custom antiqued leather belt sheath, form fitted to the knife. Some of the heat treat patina is intentionally left on the blade for a traditional, rustic look. The dark areas are a characteristic of this and not a defect in the knife. Traditional three notch jimping near the handle helps prevent your thumb from slipping. The maker's mark is stamped below them on the blade.
9 1/4" overall. 5 1/4" blade, 3/32" thick. New and sharp!
Looking for quality full tang, carbon steel fixed blades. Esp looking for Cold Steel Master Hunter in Carbon V, Benchmade Rant drop point in D2, Fallkniven F1/S1. No serrated blades.
Thanks,
Jester
We have no government armed with power capable of contending with human passions unbridled by morality and religion. Avarice, ambition, revenge or gallantry would break the strongest cords of our Constitution as a whale goes through a net. Our Constitution is designed only for a moral and religious people. It is wholly inadequate for any other.
