A Couple In Tan Jigged Bone (For Dennis Strickland)

Thanks for the number Elliot. I just called and Dave says Queen is still making knives for him. If it doesn't have a B at the end of the part number.:thumbup:It's good to know because I don't think I'm done with getting more of them. The equal ended trapper looks awfully appealing. Elliot, does the tan bone have a slight orange hue to it or is it the lighting? Still quite an appealing color to it. I like the shield on the opposite side on the serial # versions.
Thanks,
Steve

Good job, Steve.

I don't think I'd say it has an orange hue. It's pretty much tan but the light does bring out highlights for sure...kind of reminds me (in person, not images) of the color of some gravy I've seen. I dunno. :p

But you'd better be sure which pattern you like in tan...

...I'm just sayin'...;)

(And there are some others I still see around online at some of the more popular spots.)

I'm tellin you guys, I'd have a full blown fit if I could get a blade like that spey blade on the trapper in a sodbuster. That particular blade is blade shape perfection for a spey. I like it so much, I can't hardly stand it.

Whew! Elliott, I'm going to steal that photo for future reference.

Ed, I'll bet that one of our own custom maker regulars on this here forum could build that knife just for you! (Hint, hint.)

Sounds like a worthy project to me. What say you guys?

Oh and you are welcome to use any of my images anytime my friend.

Actually, that's what I kinda had in mind with stealing the photo and all. I'll send you a PM and we can discuss offline in more detail. Those are beautiful knives you have there.

I'll look forward to it, Ed. Thanks for the kind words.

I just realized that I have one of these mythical beasties also. It's a MooreMaker 3 1/2" #5200 trapper, 2001, 1095 steel, in tan bone (IIRC, they also called this color "buckskin"):
