I've been doing some quarantine cleanup and decided that these are among a few that should go to a better home than I've been providing them.

These were originally posted over in the Busse & kin section with some Busse's I have up, but decided to clean that one up and move them over here where they probably should have been in the first place.

Both are pre-Ontario, so if you appreciate Justin's work then you'll appreciate these.

Please read the following notes and then contact me via PM or email (address is in my profile) if you have any questions that aren't covered below. Please don't clutter the thread with comments or questions.

1) Yes these are both from when Justin was Ranger Knives and are not from Ontario (I know I already said it, but just in case).

2) I believe all the information is correct, and will do my best to answer any questions, but all information provided is either from my (sometimes bad) memory or found online.

3) First unconditional "I'll take it" either here or by PM or email gets it. Having said that, I get to decide who I am willing to sell to or not sell to for any reason.

4) I will take either PP G&S (don't ask me to do F&F) or a USPS money order. Price is inclusive of ALL fees and shipping costs. I will ship USPS priority with signature confirmation required. I know it can be a pain, but too many porch pirate problems now days. I'm lazy, so I would prefer CONUS, AK, and HI only at this time. I will only ship to your PP certified address.

5) I may ship international, but will add the difference in shipping cost to the prices shown. I will not fudge on customs forms, so know what's allowed and what isn't ahead of time, and any taxes/fees are on the buyer. Please get ahold of me ahead of time to make sure we're both happy with any additional fees.

6) I will do my best to get items out within 24 hours after funds are received, and they will go out no later than 48 hours after funds are received.

7) I'm not looking for any trades. I'm fortunate to not have been hit as hard as many others by everything going on right now, but still not working as much as I'd like to. Please don't make any trade offers; not to be rude, but I won't respond in order to keep the thread from getting too cluttered. You can PM me if you must, but I will politely tell you that I'm not looking for trades.

8) I know this has already been said, but please don't comment in the thread, I know they're cool knives but let's keep it uncluttered. Same goes for questions, PM or email me. If you have information on these I have gotten wrong or not included I will edit it or add it in this post.

Ranger RD 7 with factory sheath - $175

This one has micarta scales and came from Justin Gingrich when he had his own shop and Ranger knives really were Ranger knives. I can't remember if I bought it direct from Ranger or through Brigade Quartermaster, not that it matters. It's not a knock off of a Busse, per this link these were apprentice blades that came from the Busse shop, some of the blanks were SHSH's and some were SHBM's. Jerry sold them to Justin when Busse Knives went from hand grinding to CC, and an odd few went to other makers.

It's a truck knife and a beater, and since it's 5160 it has incurred a few rust spots while it was under the seat in my truck. I've scotch brighted them some, and the pics of the pommel and spine should give you a pretty good idea of what they look like, but it is clean under the scales and these are purely cosmetic and they certainly won't affect it as a user.

If you appreciate Justin's work and/or Busse history then you'll appreciate this one, warts and all. I had the pleasure of meeting Justin at Blade West in either '06 or '07, and talked to him a little bit about these. Probably priced a little high, but I do value the history of it and it has gone camping with me many times, so if it doesn't sell it'll find it's way back into the truck from whence it came and I won't be too heartbroken .... Sorry, no pic of the sheath but there's a good chance you know what it looks like if you are familiar with this knife.

Ranger Airborne Combat Knife with factory sheath - $185

Wow, this thing is a f'ing beast!! I'm not sure what Justin was thinking when he made this, but it's a full 3/8" thick  and probably took forever to grind. The steel on this one is H-13 (don't feel bad, I haven't heard of it either). I bought it from another BF member who had stripped the coating, sanded it down, and then bead blasted it before he replaced the original cord wrap with leather. It came to me as unused, and I haven't done anything but drool on it so I'm selling it as unused, although I can't say it's new as it's been shined up a bit since it came from Justin.

It is ground on both sides, the top of the handle is flat and the there is a slight swell on the bottom of the handle (as oriented in the picture). It comes with the original London Bridge tactical nylon sheath. Pretty sure you could take down an elephant with this thing, and I sure as hell don't think there's any way you could damage it if you started beating on stuff, but I'll let you find out for yourself. Another one that won't break my heart if it goes back in the safe.

Thanks for looking,
