A couple new ones in the works

Sent ya an email Eric.
MW-its yours if you want it. Shoot me a pm and we can go over things. You can pick out the handle material too if you want.

The little one is really growing on me. Ill have to see what I think after handling it but it feels great. The wider butt locks your hand in at the top when your thumb is resting on the ramp. I don't think it would work well on a larger knife but for a smaller one, it seems to fit.

nice one mykel! It is super comfy, kinda like lils funky edc knife.

As for scales, i wanna do something older looking. Im thinking walnut, curly maple, or something spalted, although, i did just get some osage last night!

jmo: Red mallee burl!

Thanks guys. Ill be making more here soon JB! The Keppie is sold.

Right, what I meant was that those two would make a great pair to have as a set to take into the woods. Wonder if that might be a possibility in the near future?

I wonder if on the smaller one you could take out a bit of the belly to make the point a bit sharper and make it out of 3/32" stock, with convex grind? I think that could be a really great slicer/all-purpose blade.

Yeah, that would make a good combo. We could always change the blade shape ;)
Wonder if my leather guy could make a piggyback sheath for it.

Which one, the one in MS or the one in NV? Lol. I'm sure either craftsman could do it.

The one in NV is making me a Triamesed (3 layer) sheath, for my DFK Ti Set: Wharnie + Marlinspike + Prybar....it would be a delight for him to make, Chris!

Did someone say funky little EDC?

Looks like I need to make a pattern! I wanna get some 1/8" stock thats 1 1/2" wide so I can make some thinner ones too.

you can have the rest of my 1/8x1 1/2 stock bro, as we know i wont be needing it for a good while!

Thanks guys! I really like the design on both of them and am excited to see the finished knife. Im going to do something special on the handle of the Kephart since its my first one and I hope Mtn Wildman will be happy with it. Its a big a$$ knife! If the small one feels like I think it will its going to be a sleeeeeeeper! I got some really nice curly Satinwood, Koa, or Phillipine Ebony that I want to try out. Ive never used Satinwood before but it looks really nice.

The bottom picture looks like they would make some pretty interesting looking scales. I like it!!

Those first 2 blocks are amazing, My heart skipped a beat the second I saw them.
And I love big knives though little ones are nice also.

That Kephart is sweet, but I still love the drop points. Probably around February, we need to talk Chris. Me needs a bushcrafter. With Christmas coming up, and an anniversary in January, yep, February it is. :D

. . . T/W, that Kephart would make a great anniversary gift in January (one less month of anxiety & withdrawls) & all you have to do is make copies of that first post and start leaving them around the house, in the cabinets, linen closet, dresser drawers, bread box, make-up desk, between the bed pillows, etc. (yes, I have personally stooped this low myself) . . . . :D
Be safe.

Haha, I wouldn't even have to do that. My wife supports me in everything. She likes knives too, and is very outdoorsy. I would just tell her to buy it for me, and as long as she has the money, she would. But we pretty much live paycheck to paycheck, so we have to watch what we spend.
