A good friend of mine ask me to sharpen these 2 old fillet knives he uses for cusk and such. He said no need to do more, he paid 1$ a piece 30 years ago.
Well being a knife guy you know I just had to give those two a little tlc for their years of hard work. Here are the before and after pics.
Thanks for looking.

As much fun as it is to buy new ones, there's just something fulfilling about restoring an old one to its prime.

Patrice, now your friend won't be able to use them! ;)
I'll bet he had a perma-grin upon seeing them.
Good job!
I fixed up a couple of old knives for an uncle, and it was really gratifying to make them better than new.

Thanks for sharing.

I'd like to see your friends reaction when he gets a look at those now!

Great work. Nothing beats the feeling you get from giving something old a new life. It can be old furniture, machinery, knives, guns, or antique cars and trucks.

Now if I could only do the same to good old me. ;)

Thanks for the good words guys. He hasn't seen them yet just in about a little more than a month when I get back to Maine. I think he will like them although it may force him to take a little better care of them. ;)
