you would like kydex not concealx i could do that if you would let me know what you think of it. if you are willing to share your thoughts with me on my work, i will make one to order. how do you want the lock tight, loss , or medium? and i would realy like to hear your thoughts after you get it im trying to better me self at this forum of art. i have come as far as a can with out outside input. i gave away two other bravo sheaths and am still waiting to here what the receivers think.

Hey e77,

Don't need a sheath, but I would really like to hear your take on the Gunny, since you have one. (as compared to the Bravo-1).

Thanks,

Doc

the bravo is a very robust knife you know it's on your belt and in your hand. when cutting some types of media when you get to the spine of the blade the effencey falls off. the bravo 1 works great all over plse dont anyone take this a a dis, or a bash. for long projects trap making whittleing small fine stuff i find the B1 to start to be a little cumbersome toward the end when the hand starts to lose fine control. The gunny is lite you can for get it's there ,the handle is just a touch over hand lenght for me and im 5'9. the handle isn't so big around that it is hard to grasp in a reverse 4 finger grip where the B1 can get lose from you. out of all the knives i currently have the gunny out of the box out cuts them all after i have sharpened them. im no sham at sharpening either i can get some of my steel to spit a hair in half. but the edge geometry of the gunny is just scary. i sliced through rolled up blue jean leg with not much more than 1 pound of pressure. i also like that it has a full tang. the balance of the gunny is just rite so it floats in hand doesn't tip foward or backward. that way your not fighting gravity why doing your hobbie. it batons well as in you don't get much if any handle shock when you strike it. i haven't got to try it on game animals yet but from the last 4-5 days i have had it for genral work it is the way to go... but unfortunatly for me 1 knife is never enough so the B1 and B2 will alway be there wating there turn for when i want to mix it up a bit. works out pretty well for me cause i am ambie i use both hands about equal. my left has a little finer control so it gets the small knife my right can hold it's own so it gets the medium knife and the big boy goes on the pack for when the trail calls for it. sorry if a rambled to much.:D

cool looking sheaths....

i just realized, i hadn't contacted you about the Bravo-1 sheath you sent me, i completely forgot.. sorry.. :o
i got it.. i love the construction of it.. it's just a tad on the tight side.. all in all, great job.... thanks again...

if you would like a pic, i can try and snap on in the next few days...

Great work! Contact Mike Stewart from BRKT. He might buy a few :)

I'll take the Gunny sheath if it's still available. Here is my Gunny with a couple of Bravos:) The Gunny is in tan burlap, Bravos are curly maple and black matte micarta, love em all.

Functional looking knives. The blade treatment reminds me of old Ruana's. Who makes them?
And good looking sheaths BTW! Ghost

Sorry, I didn't notice that the kydex is for the Gunny. If the concealx is the one you are offering up, thats fine. I'd be happy to post pics and a review for ya.

Thanks again.

Hi guys. I received my Gunny sheath from Eastr77 today and it is quality all the way. No skimping anywhere, fit or finish. I had him set the retention for medium and it is perfect. I like the fact that I can go from necker to IWB carry quickly. Here are some quick pics of this fabulous sheath. Many thanks Eastr77:thumbup: Hope I can return the favor some time.

IWB carry. Note-this is NOT the belt I would normally use. This is the one I just happened to be wearing when the sheath arrived. I would use one of my 1.5 inch wide belts and the clip would fit perfectly.

In the hand shot, note the nice drain hole, it's on both sides.

Using a cord lock allows me to remove the paracord lanyard quickly for IWB carry. It also allows to cord to breakaway if violently tugged.

Neck carry mode. Oh yeah, almost forgot, that's a Kershaw Orange Zing in my pocket:)
