Looks like it huh Mike... That burlap is good lookin stuff!!

Many many cool handle combos on the gunny. The Redwood burl is gorgeous, and the black and red micarta is sweet!!! Among others that are just cool like the ranger green G10, and the Coyote G10.

Im boring. Black G10 on mine.

Hi guys. I received my Gunny sheath from Eastr77 today and it is quality all the way. No skimping anywhere, fit or finish. I had him set the retention for medium and it is perfect. I like the fact that I can go from necker to IWB carry quickly. Here are some quick pics of this fabulous sheath. Many thanks Eastr77:thumbup: Hope I can return the favor some time.

IWB carry. Note-this is NOT the belt I would normally use. This is the one I just happened to be wearing when the sheath arrived. I would use one of my 1.5 inch wide belts and the clip would fit perfectly.

In the hand shot, note the nice drain hole, it's on both sides.

Using a cord lock allows me to remove the paracord lanyard quickly for IWB carry. It also allows to cord to breakaway if violently tugged.

Neck carry mode. Oh yeah, almost forgot, that's a Kershaw Orange Zing in my pocket:)

so glad you like it looks like i need to make you a shorter j hook for your belt i usaly send 2 one long and one short for dress belts. will make one up and get it out to you thanks for the info and thoughts

thats a great idea on the cord lock i had been putting dog tag chains on mine that would be a whole lot more ecominical

got my sheath today Robert... this one is spot on.. very nice work... it's exactly what i was thinking of... my knife sits in there nice and snug, it's not too tight either... i like how far it comes up along the handle too...

many thanks once again man... i'll try and get some pics up in the next week or so...:) thanks for the fatwood too...

cheers... mike

Hey IUKE,

How about a report on your Gunny and maybe some in-hand shots?

Thanks,

Doc
I'll work on it Doc. I can tell you that I don't think the thumb ramp is very practical on the Gunny compared to the Bravo. The knife would work just fine without it.

I'm allowing myself some quality time to compare these two fine knives since I just got the Gunny. My backyard impressions thus far puts the Bravo ahead of the Gunny. The Bravo is so much more robust, yet handles like a much smaller knife to me, if that makes any sense. The handle fills my hand and the balance is on the first finger, whereas the balance on the Gunny is on the second finger. The thumb ramp on the Gunny gets in the way for me, not so with the Bravo. I am confident the Gunny will handle anything I could do with the Bravo, and admittedly, it is a more comfortable carry for me due to the weight and more compact size. Bottom line-I need to give the Gunny some field time before making any more comments, but as of today, I'd still grab the Bravo-1:)
