A Crow That Sounded Like a Turkey

I heard a Blue-Jay imitate a Sea Gull... perfectly!

Great!! :grumpy:

I have bad memories of wheeling sea gulls dive-bombing me with rocks and shells then peeling away laughing as I ran on the grasslnds and shore in Alameda. Now I'll be double-wary and confused knowing jays can do that. Hopefully the local ravens won't pick it up since the dry lakebeds are filling up and sea gulls come up to feast on brine shrimp here in the Mojave.

That is one talented bird!!! :D The first one is amazing.

Here is a turkey gobble like the crow was singing. The crow would caw caw look around and then gobble gobble. It took me a good few minuets to figure out it was a crow and not a turkey. The crow was up high in a four story tall pine tree that is two houses back. This is at my parents house in a western Mass. city. Not a lot of wild land close by, but the river is 1/4 mile away so maybe there are turkeys down there. Also around 15 miles from part of the Mount Holyoke Range I guess there wild turkeys there.
