A Currently Active Auction

I'll post a link and also a picture and some info after the auction is over. I cancelled my bid. I can wait for another to show up.

eBay auctions are a sticky subject to discuss on forums, particularly before they end. While non-interference with auctions/transactions is an easy concept to understand, given the variance of acceptable rules among the forums here and elsewhere, boundaries are sometimes blurred. In THIS forum (and also the Camillus Collectors Forum) we might be best served to just wait until an interesting item has sold before posting about it. I know the other "main" identification forum works under slightly different rules and that is confusing. I've made blunders in the past on both sides of the issue. But I am learning, as we all are. Hang in there guys! There are thousands of Schrades none of us have seen!

Michael

To clarify, I was referring to the BRL identification forum here on BF.com.

I sincerely thank you Mr.SuperModerator for your considered, balanced views...and it's perhaps a good way to bury this thread. Hoo Roo

Thanks Roland....you know every time our Codger makes a post on BF we ought to appreciate the way he responds and doesnt get off by squashing someone like a maggot who may not quite know as much about a knife as he does.I think he like us understands there is a love of Schrades and there is also a life out there as well....
The Guru in residence on the other Forum has these compassionate words to say about the knife....."It is a fake Schrade"..$303 is amazing...a $300 ripoff....the authenticity of the knife is BULLSHIT <sic>....it was fabricated to make a buck....apparently someone felt this oddity was worth $300......"
Gee thanks mate could you just expand on your comments a little more to make your point clear...There may even be a few other things in life I know more about than you as knives represent only a part of my life..so get a life....
Thanks Codger again for being here <and he there>....I have obtained perhaps 1500 USA Schrades over about 6 years many from trusted U.S. sellers, many direct buys, not always on Ebay and I guess I was always going to make what others perceive as an imprudent deal so I cop it on the chin as part of my learning process..no one else's problem only mine.
Thawk I had already placed my highest bid on this knife so putting it on this Forum for all to see as a warning PRIOR to auction end was never going to help me only hinder me.Same for any other member in this situation in the future and I believe this is what the "Private Messages" section on this Forum could best be used for as Eric did, for which I thank him.
Finally I had done my homework and realized this style of knife existed in 1937 and was not a Chinee Taylor Crapp Clone ..... however if it is not the Real Deal it will never be sold by me as The Real Deal as that resident Guru on the other Forum doesnt have exclusive rights to the honesty and integrity he sprouts ad nauseum.......Hoo Roo
There may be some here who don't know who you were referring to Larry, in your partial quotes!!

Doesn't matter Charlie the same person just saw fit to knife Codger with unwarranted unfair comments..but you just continue to suck to him mate like the other minions. End of story for me on this by supporting those comments you are shafting Codger with your partial comments.Aussies generally would rather lose a limb than not support a mate...lot of differences between Nationalities. Hoo Roo

Your pathetic insults are uncalled for, and deserve an apology! You talk about sucking up!! Any idiot can see I am loyal to my "mates", except you!!

Ackkkkkk! I don't believe much in closing threads, but whatever personal discussion you're having here would seem to be more suited to email, where you can talk about people and forums as cryptically as you like and those of us who are here to talk about knives won't be bothered trying to guess who or what you're talking about or why we should be interested.
