This might be fun. If you could have Andy build you one of his current models as a custom knife, what would you choose?

Mine would be a slicey dagger ground Bushboot 1/8 01 tapered cocobolo on natural with lime green liners. I'd also ask that the fisheye was lime green as well.

Chime in if you want to play.

Drunken coffee shadetree/ emerald shadetree/ or evergreen shadetree with a bright liner.

I had the chance some good time ago and ended up with this pair (ignore the Leatherman):

3/16" Camp in O1 and 1/8" guardless Ladyfinger in S35VN. Both with maroon micarta handles and a single beauty mark (mosaic pin).

If I didn't already have a few Fiddlebacks and was aiming for a single knife it would probably be a Bushfinger or Hunter in S35VN with handles like above.

Better pics in natural light (been working out doors today)

Camp Nessie .. stainless, tapered, Gabon ebony wood scales, black pins with trinity mosaics, black/blue liners. WHAT!?!? Yeah, come on.

2nd choice would be a daggered Scorpion (as in put an edge on that swedge), in Gabon ebony, black pins, with one mosaic, black/blue liners.

Bushfinger, Toxic Burlap/ Black bolsters, orange liners/ black pinstripe, Black pins, tapered and stainless.

Bushboot, high grind (with swedge), pretty light colored burl or emerald or forest shadetree over black G10 with racing stripe to complement burl/burlap, 5/32" fiddletextured 154CM ...

Camp Knife - 3/16th SFT will electric orange burlap handle and black micarta bolster. A nice mosaic pin right in the middle of the bolster would do me nice.

If we're REALLY going custom. I'd like a matching bushfinger with a stainless steel pommel.

5/32" SFT 01 Duke with Koa scales over black G10 with a thin orange liner

Not to be uber specific, but.... my custom would be a 13" oal, 5/32" Elmax, tapered tang Wasp with a black G10 tuxedo configuration orange pinstripe, trinity pinout with a mosaic in one of the top four pins.

I had the chance too. I also got a pair.

I love them dearly, but I REALLY need a matching SP. After seeing mists Kephart I had to have one similar (same except for the tapered tang) and the Karda seemed like good company.

Now if I could twist Andys arm to make anything? I'd take a carving Axe 5/32" o1 with the killer ergonomics I know he could do. Come on Andy, I know you want to make a carving Axe! :D

Oh yeah .. bolstered with Bloodwood or Padauk. ;)

1/8" 01 with a high grind, electric orange over black with a white pinstripe. One hiking buddy, and one kephart. Hers and his combo. That's the dream.

Really, really want electric orange. So much so, that I'm thinking about inquiring for some stock to rescale a few production folders.

Back here on earth, I'm just looking for a tuxedo ladyfinger.

I'm always looking for that holy grail in a perfect survival knife (the definition of which changes in my mind on a monthly basis, and perhaps something that'll never be achieved as I belong to a school of thought that there's no one tool that'll do everything well)....so here's what I'd love to order if it's ever offered to me:

Duke, SFT, 5.5" blade length (which is standard I think), 5/32" 01 Steel, full height convex zero, with sharp spine, and small (~1/4") extended tang that's flat at the end (also with a sharp spine).
Handle, a stabilized burl or crotchwood handle (something medium brown) with black liner and bolster that's a little thicker than the model standard (maybe even something closer to the handle shape of sneaky pete).

I like where you head is at on this one man. I was of a similar mind in either blackwood or arizona DI, 3/16" TT, high or full grind, nat can liners & pins, and a blue or white pinstripe. It wouldn't be too bad in shadetree either but several already exist... I would've kept my bloodwood camp nessie but IMO that knife needs to be 3/16".

I'd have to say a TT osage over black g10 + white g10 pinstripe Ladyfinger would be nice.

Right now, i'd ask for a HB, SS, in African Blackwood, black and white liners. Get it to match my Duke. Hell lets throw a Camp in there same config ;)

Something like this... Oh wait just got that in the mail... all I can say is WOW!

My needs are simple. Just a 3/32 O1 guardless tapered-tang hiking buddy with dyed flamey maple over natural canvas.
