A custome Knife As a User?

I only have one custom knife. It was made by a friend who has passed away. Therefore, I would not risk having it get lost.

I carry a custom folder in my pocket every day. and have a Randall and Ruana that I use for hunting every year.
I have friends who are custom knifemakers and it upsets them when people don't use their knives.
One of them told me once , why did I bother to make it if no one wants to use it.
But in the end its yours do what you like. Either way is fine

If the knife is customized for hunting, why wouldn't you?

Of course, asking the maker on the purpose would be a good idea. The maker of my custom blade is absolutely confident with his work, but he keeps telling me to not batoning too hard with it, as it is not a criteria for his hunting blades. I feel bad that I only used the knife once for camping.

I'd imagine it has a higher rc to hold its edge for skinning purposes.. the trade off

I'm not a rich guy and I live and work in the woods so I don't own any custom knives.
But if i did, I'd use them
