A day at the flea market - pic heavy!

Thanx guys! It sure is nice to see it come back to life. Here it is compared to my no name 3 1/2# Mexican. This is how it looked under the paint before the wire wheel. I guess I know which design they were trying to copy!

That perfect came out good! Hard to find an old axe that the poll is not abused on.
You know at first I thought that you were trying to be like McGuyver:D making a handle out of a bat, but if a guy wants to make a handle it would be a easy and cheap source of quality wood. Looking forward to your post about it.

You know, I was speaking tongue in cheek when I made that comment, but I guess now I am going to have to try it out! I need to make a draw knife next and I should be able to find a bat fairly easily at Goodwill or other thrift stores. I have to work over that two-faced Chinese axe first before I go any further. This should be fun!
