Hi all,

Been missing for a while. :D

Anyway, I spent the day out in the bush cutting firewood and had an unwelcome bugger join me for lunch. :D I wasn't going to share my ham and tomato sandwiches with him.

I've included a few pics of my day and a couple of my favorite all round bush knife, the Skinny Ash.

Setting out.

I hope everyone is well in Busseland.
Cheers all,
Ian.

Oh man!!! A Red Belly Black. Nasty. No match for that chunck-o-infi though ;)

Good to see here mate :)

G'day Rob,
Good to speak to you again, he's about a five footer, but big enough to give ya a thump. :D I spotted one earlier about twice as big as him, would have had to been around seven foot, fat and sassy. :D
Its getting late in the season here to be seeing them, we've been getting early frosts here. The eastern Browns get my attention though. :D

Good stuff. It has been so many years since I have headed out with my dad, a chain saw, and some axes to harvest fire wood. When we were younger, we got so much, we ran out of places to put it.

One good thing about living Washington. We could go cut one tree and it would take so many trips even with multiple trucks and trailers to get home. Cut down some that were three feet thick!

The eastern Browns get my attention though. :D

I bet they do!!! I killed one in my yard a while back with a spade. The bloody thing whipped around and bit the handle of the spade after I'd chopped him about 2/3rds up from the tail. Scary!

Nice to see you back!

Did you get the snake with the knife or did you shoot it?

Thanks, nice to be back.
He was under my truck when I sat down to eat so I clobbered him with a lump of wood then stuck the knife through his head. :D Quite brutal. ;) :D

I need to work a bush grade sheath for that one! hmm, I think I found my May winner! :D

G'day Ian! Glad to see ya back in the sty. :)

Thump 'em, stick 'em & tan 'em.......then send 'em to Texas. :D
I bet it will look great on a black sheath for something w/ a snakeskin (or black/red G-10) handle.
If ya get any bag E. Browns let me know. That beastie would be appropriate for an AK-47 sheath overlay.
