I haven't been able to spend as much time on the forums as wanted - so usually a quick fleet through then out, but this was really nice to stop in here and see that that you are on the receiving end of nice gifts- because its usually you who is so thoughtful and generous.
ToÂchillepattada and
btb01 and Eleanor - thank you for being such kind and thoughtful people.

Hear, Hear!!That’s a pretty good mail day, Jack!
That Alpin looks like a handy pattern. I, too, like the idea of knives put together using old blades/parts, and that’s a real shame about all those old Sheffield blades sent for a swim!
I remember you saying that, Jack. I hadn’t heard of them before we moved to Minnesota. It’s an interesting tradition, and I couldn’t pass up that sticker!
Exactly!
Thanks for the kind words, everyone. Many of you know this from experience, sometimes gifting a knife is even more enjoyable than receiving one.![]()
Thanks again buddyThat’s a pretty good mail day, Jack!![]()

Sounds like a good way of getting out of there in one piece, as well as a kind gesture!Club Dalmeny has a meat raffle on Friday...One drunken night I splurged out on 20bux worth of tickets and won 5 out 8 meat trays...rigged or what?
There was a kid there with what looked like mum ,2 nanas and 3 aunties/life partnersThey had bought a load of tickets for him but didnt win anything...I felt so sorry for him... I went over and said.. Hey mate you're cooking breakfast! and gave him the breakfast meat tray.
15cwt of bacon, Sausages ,rissoles and a narwhales liver.
Stoked.A good deed is its own reward for sure...
Oh no!Meanwhile in MY mailbox my new stereo needle turned up today...wrong size..rassenfrassen.
