Would you fine folks here mind giving me a couple of recommendations on a good neck knife? I'm getting the ka bar 1118BP tomorrow but I'm looking for a better quality for next paycheck. I've been looking at the esee izula, kabar Escobar, and the buck tops collaboration

I was going to suggest the Izula as well... However, I would probably slap a set of handmade scales on it just to make it more comfortable to use. I just did that to an old CRKT Stiff KISS I had lying arround.

For the size range I really like the D'Eskabar with the D2 and the Survive! Necker 2. Another one that has been on my list is the Southern Grind Rat. The main reason I haven't picked up a Rat has been the recurve. I am not a huge fan of them personally BUT I have several SG products and have been overly impressed with them and for that reason alone I do want to give one a try.

Enzo Necker
BK24 D'Eskabar with tommythewho wooden scales
Bark River Bravo Necker
TOPS Tibo with LMF / Joe Snarski scales
TOPS MSK 2.5

I've been carrying a Fallkniven juni around my neck for the past 18+ months & just love it. 3g steel holds an edge incredibly well and with its 2.8" blade it doesn't freak the meek out. It's just a solid, beautiful piece. Good luck with your search.

My favorite necker is the CRKT Minimalist. If you want to spend more money The ESEE Izula or Candiru are fine choices

Becker BK11, BK14 and, if you prefer D2, the BK 24. KaBar sells plastic scales and obviously there are some pretty schnazzy aftermarket scales as previously mentioned.
