A different EDC for me

Just thought that I'd share a photo with ya's. I normally carry a Strider SMF or an Emerson CQC as my every day carry along with a small light. Sometimes they're too big or heavy, so I got this rig and it works great. I saw that some others had the holster and gave it a try. In my back pocket, it feels like there is nothing there! The blade on the BRKT is a little giant and does more than it appears it can do.

I've also begun to carry a small fixed blade instead of my prior EDC, which was a Benchmade 530.

(Nice pic BTW WolfTracker, that Barkie and holster sure look great.)

Very nice combo. I've got an older Sharpshooter pocket sheath, so I'm limited to skinny AAA lights.

Thanks! I love the setup. When take a quick hike, I toss it in my pocket and add a little firesteel.

My wife gave me grief for "defiling" the palm tree for a prop. I told her to "look around... We spend the better part of our time beating back the jungle, down here".

Nice combo:thumbup:. I order the same sheath this past weekend for a Blind Horse Small Tiger Knapp. Eventually I'll have a Gossman PSK that should fit in there nicely.

Hmm, I never though of putting a flashlight in mine. That's a great idea. Now I need to find a little flashlight thats not a Maglight. How does the Fenix feel? Do you notice it when you sit on it all day?

I have a PEAK LED Solutions Matterhorn in my KSF pocket sheath by Sharpshooter sheaths. I took a 1/2 drill rod, got the leather wet and jammed it in there and let it dry over night. The flashlight fit perfectly the next day. This AAA flashlight is unreal with the amount of light output in such a small package.

Being in the tactical supply business, I have a ton of lights. The reason why I use the Fenix L1D is because it only requires 1 AA battery. In a pinch, I can get those anywhere and they're cheap. It is also bright as heck at (I think) ~ 80 lumens.

As for feel, my ass cheek has yet to get numb :p It is smaller than a roll of Life Savers in diameter.

HTH,
Chris

Sweet!

Is that a mikro or mini(looks like a mikro)? Nice handle choice. I have one in Big Horn Sheep, although it's never made it out of the Bravo 1 rig. I gotta get me some of those sharpshooter set ups.

The original is designed for a Firesteel or a small flashlight.

The newer on (IIRC it’s called the Adirondack) has the same size knife pocket but the rest of the sheath is left open at the top and will accommodate a larger flashlight or a fixed blade.

They are both innovative and very useful products.

Yes, it's a Mikro Canadian. All of my other knife handles are very "utility" looking and pretty tough. I wanted a "gentlemanly" handle for this one. :)
