A different kind of convex sharpening method

Similar setups have been posted before. I have to say, though, that there's nothing to indicate (besides his casualness about the process) that it would in fact be a convex edge. To be a bit anal, he's even working on a convex surface, which would cause a concave edge.
 
Most likely he is creating the once hallowed hollow grind.:) I wonder if he accepts mail-order business. Did anyone get his address?
