A few weeks ago I decided that it was time to replace my trusty consumer photocamera (Finepix S602Z) by a digital SLR. After thinking long and hard what to get I decided for the E-system from Olympus.

Last week I added a macro lens.

Here are some samples:

I hope you like 'em...

Wow, those are some nice, crisp photos! Congrats on the new camera.

I need to get a macro lens for my Nikon D-40. LOOKING GOOD MAN!!!!

Nice, Crafft! Can you tell me what lens you are using, and how you get the border with text around your pictures? Thanks

The lens is an Olympus ZD35mm f3.5 macro prime on the E-510 body. I thought long and hard to get a Nikon D300 and a couple of fast Nikon lenses but I'm glad I picked the Oly stuff. It's much cheaper and the image quality is still in the same ballpark imo. Now I can spend more on Busse's:D

I did the border around the pics in Lightroom. But I'm sure you can also use Photoshop or other editing software for this.

Great photos but. . . just one Busse?! Keep on snappin'!

Nice shots. I hafta build a lightbox so I can play with my wife's Cannon and Macro lens. Anyone got any ideas/info on how to build one?

Great pics! I love shooting macro stuff, as a matter of fact I have a Sigma 50mm f2.8 macro coming tomorrow to go with my 90mm f2.8 Tamron macro lens for my Nikon D50 and D90. The 50mm looks like a good choice for "micro" shots of some smaller knives indoors as well.
