A family hike to an Alpine pond and Sunday lunch in a packed mountain hut...

Hi!

@ Mistwalker: Well, thanks for compliments, coming from you, it’s something to be proud of :)! Your pics, besides being amazing, are inspiring for me !

@ 22-rimfire: Yes, you’re right. Tannins also might colour waters. This is not an area for paper mills (it's mainly Lucca area - Tuscany Region) but, luckily, with today environmental standards , water pollution is not a big problem any longer at least here :). Was quite bad when I was a kid, until late 70ies, early 80ies. “My” river, the Adda river, where Leonardo Da Vinci was testing the first reaction ferry and where I was spending lots of afternoons after school :D, was turning colour every week in those days; fishes were dying in flocks and huge white foams were forming every second day. Today the area it’s a Regional Park where people bike, hike, fish, practice canoeing and rowing .

@ Aias & Ohmyheckinslc: Thanks! Glad you liked the post! :)

Things changed environmentally here significantly during the 1970's. Water and air pollution were the targets. The 70's is when the USEPA was created along with OSHA (general work place safety) and MSHA (mines). These two agencies contributed to the decline of the unions as work place safety was always a big issue with them.

Very beautiful. Looks like Iowa in the US. [emoji16]
