Gentlemen:

Awhile ago I filled an order for a fella that wanted a fast full tang bowie for fencing and self-defense. This is what we agreed on. It's a Battle Bowie with some major modifications. The blade thickness at the ricasso is reduced to .195" from .220". The clip has been rounded with major distal taper. Finally the blade was lightly hollow ground on a 36" diameter platen down to .020" with 25 degree bevels ground. The end result was a reduction in weight from 14.8 oz to 10.8 oz for a lightning fast fighter/slicer. I made a southern style sheath so you can carry this brute right, left cross-draw or behind the back. The intense curly maple has been stained with an oxblood colored aniline dye, eight coats of Truoil, hand rubbed and buffed.
The blade was belt finished to 400 grit then superfine scotchbrite belt satin. I hope you like it! The first "I'll take it," email, or PM gets it. $500 delivered CONUS. Paypal preferred to tksteingass@frontier.com Maker's lifetime common sense warranty and free sharpening.

V/R,

TK
