What will he be using it for? I'd suggest Benchmade's Puukko 200 or something of similar size. There are a lot of custom makers available, too, as reasonable prices.

Check Bark River, and White River brands. I have many of both and they are all excellent.

Realistically , you need two... a Horsewright for the edc type work and a larger fixed blade for hiking, dirt biking etc.

I am near Walker Pass outside Lake(pond) Isabella. My family and I own the last homes with grid power heading out of the Kern River Valley. I love your work and am fascinated with your 64 RC 26C3 Cowboy (Elk). I currently am telling my wife how bad ass it is, and we gotta buy it. This is for my son's birthday coming up in Oct., and will be his 1 Big ticket present we get him, he's an adult now. Again thank all of you for the suggestions.
