A few BK17 Mods

Very good looking.

I still want to get me a 17, I am just trying to warrant the purchase to myself. :D

Nice work. I'll be stripping mine before too long.

That looks awesome!!! I love it. My 17 should be here any day and I may have to try something similar. I really like the 17, and the more I look at it I the better I feel about my decision to go 17 vs. 16. Thanks for sharing.

If you have time post of pic of your soldering iron head modifications used for your stippling.

The logos look amazing! I really like the idea of the etch then the blue for them. It really makes them pop. Very nice job, I can't wait to see the G10 on it.

WOW! beautiful. How did you strip off the finish? any help would be awesome!!

I agree completely. Originally I didn't think I would get a BK17. Now I love it and am glad I did.

Second that. Everyone one of these threads pushes me that much closer to getting another knife I don't really need. Great work, UCPOPO!

Nice work. I was teetering between the 15 and the 17, but I went for the 15. After seeing this, the 17 might be my next purchase (once again the 9 may move back once again). I have been wanting to try out stippling my handles, but have never gotten around to it yet.

Go for it on the stippling. One nice thing about getting 2 sets with each knife. I had 2 spares to practice on. I also tried out some different patterns on the inside of the grips where the skeleton section of the tang was. I used a wood burner with a rounded tip to draw "s" patterns all over the grips. Works great and seems like it will hold up quite well.

I have the 15 and the 17 and go back and forth between which one is my favorite. I do have to confess that I'm sure I'll get the 16 eventually but don't feel handicapped with either the 15 or 17.

I finally ordered a BK4, so the 17 is next for me. I love that clip point, and yours looks great stripped.

Very nice job, do you like the stippling? I am thinking of doing mine but once you go stipple you can,t go back. Then again maybe that's why you get two sets of handles.

I like it. I would recommend making it a rough texture and sanding it down as needed. Thats what I did and they feel pretty nice now. Once the G10 arrives, they will ge set aside though. :D
