Here are a few blades I have finished up and ready for handles. This is were I get bogged down. Most of them are Damascus, the two larger ones on the right and the smaller hunter skinner to the right of them are W-2 with nice hamons.

Thanks for looking. All Comments Welcome

Bogged down? Are you saying you got more blades made than you'll ever get around to finishing? I find myself in the same situation most the time. Not a bad thing. Don't forget to bring my bar of O-1 to Eugene.

I got it set aside Ray. Your names all over it. Yup I have blades I will never finish. Have one that's been hanging around for almost 4 years with guard and spacer installed. Just need the right muse to get me going on it. Then the ones that did not turnout right for one reason or another. Oh well thats life I guess.

Very impressive blades and patterns. We should try to meet up in Eugene. Id like to see something finished. You have a table?

Thanks Bruce, would love to meet up. My Table is I09. I have to get a few together but I am mainly concentrating on getting the Scott Taylor Scholarship knife done by then and maybe a couple others. Then BLADE. Lots to do and I am not going to get anything done sitting here. So out to the shop i go.

Cool! I have a pile of blades waiting to be finished to. It seems to me I do my best when I dont rush things. So most of my big projects get forged out and ground down and then sit and wait for me to be "ready".

I will say though my pile o blades is not as cool as yours. Great stuff.

Take care

Hmmmmm I get more excited about the knife when I'm ready to fit everything up... leatherwork is where I get bogged down, the stitching clamp I've made has made leatherwork more tolerable though.

I don't do the leather work. I can but just hate it so much and Kenny does such a great job for less than it costs me to buy the materials. Well maybe not quite but as far as time goes it is worth it. Also That way the customer can work directly with him or through me to get a sheath they really like. Not that anyones leather is lacking just my own consensus.

At the prices I sell knives I can't afford a "pro" sheath.... and I am reluctantly begginning to enjoy doing some leatherwork, my kids like to hang out and watch. I keep telling them they could make a decent amount of money making a quality pouch sheath. I saw a lot of Kenny Rowe's stuff at Tannehill this weekend, gorgeous stuff but most of it I can't afford.

I do not purchase the either. The customer does. I offer a knife, I know some think it is only part of the package but not everyone does. I provide a nice zipper pouch but the sheath is up to them. I will send the knife off and work as an intermediary though.

Nice lookin stuff, Chuck. You been busy :)

I don't offer sheaths either. There are sheath makers out there who make a much nicer sheath than I could.

Thanks Don.

I have been busy but not busy enough. Not any ones fault but my own. The sheath makers out there are GREAT. I just can not see myself sitting down for 3 hours and try to make a second rate sheath. Now I just have to get my butt back out to the shop and finish up a few more.
