I am building a file guide to give a decent go at stock removal and propane forge to make my first knife from start to finish. I have read a lot and understand the basics - but I get lost in some of the terminology (stress risers, normalization vs. tempering and the like).
What I would like is a few basic references to understand about metallurgy and knife making.
Can you suggest any that would explain the terminology, process, and heat treat to getting done what I am trying to get done?
