A Few Camping Pics (Pic Heavy)

Took a few nature shots at Rock Island State Park this past weekend. Thought I'd share some pics with the group...


This nature shot is of natural bacon and natural cheese. GW's slice cheese really well. Knife was still shaving sharp afterwards.

Took this shot while fishing from my kayak. Was hoping for a walleye or two, but the water was low and the water temp was still too hot.

Caught some bass and a bream or three though.

At the boat launch, I snapped this plane during a water take-off.

Busses in the wild.

Looks like I'm not the only piggy around here with vacation shots that include a pontoon plane taking off! Cool shot :thumbup:

(Oh, and I heard marbled cheese can do a number on a blade edge. )

Is that water coming from a stream or springs? It looks a lot like the springs that feed the lower Snake River in southern Idaho.

Marble chips are tough on any blade. I recommend packing a tile saw for marbled cheese.

Rick, I'm not sure what feeds these falls. My first trip there.

TN has quite a lot of waterfalls because of sudden elevation drops in and around the Cumberland Plateau. Here's a great site in this regard:

That one came out a little blurry. I patched it up with Photoshop best I could.

Camera decided to focus more on the falls than on the INFI. Stupid camera.

It just steeled right out. Also, the cheese stains came out with some steel wool and a little bleach.

That's the Small Forest Axe. I also have the Mini GB. One of these days, I'm going to pick up a Scandinavian and a Wildlife hatchet. However, I already have a Wetterlings that's about the same size as the Wildlife, so I'll probably get the Scandi first.
