Hi All,

My back is slowly healing up so I was able to get back to the grinder a little this week. Aldo up at the New Jersy Steel Barron sent me some of his AEB-L to try out. Before we get to the knives about the steel. If you have not tried this it is worth giving it a shot. It is a Stainless that cuts like a CPM-154-CM but is softer in its annealed state. Quite a bit softer at that. I actually had to back off on the pressure when I got used to it or I would grind right past the point I was trying to get to. The formula for hardening I have been using is fast ramp to 1560 hold for 7 min fast ramp to 1975 hold for 5 min ,plate quench. I seem to be getting a consistent Rockwell of 61 with out the dry ice. Give it a try. It polished up like a 10xx steel which is kind of nice instead of fighting with the other CPM steels.

About the knives the dagger is 7.75 inches long and sports a 4 inch double edge blade. The Bowie is 8.5 inches long and sports a 4.75 inch blade. Both are made from Aldo's 1/8 inch thick AEB-L and as I stated right around a Rockwell 61 both are about an inch in height and are mirror finished. The top one has scales made from Chechen the bottom one from Bacote both handles are about 4 inches long and 3/4 inch thick at their widest. They both come with custom Kydex behind the back sheath (modified scout carry) that fit between the belt and the pants in the small of your back. Drop your T shirt over it and the disappear. They are also set up so they can be drawn weak or strong arm. Just change the loop on the back.

Price is $150.00 each plus $7.50 Priority shipping to the US. If you are out of the country get in touch with me. If you are interested leave a note on the thread so I do not get duplicate requests.
