Thanks, it's kind of difficult because things didn't always fit a category. If you wanted something special you just asked and BUCK built it.

I really admire the dedication pre 1963 Buck collectors must have..Thanks for sharing! I have just one filet Buck,a 123 V brown plastic handle but with a spoon set in the end..It was so odd! I bought it for less than 10.00 delivered on Ebay and the reason it was so cheep was most folks thought it was homemade...I seen Joe in Atlanta at the Blade show and he told me Buck made a limited run for salmon fishing to scrape the roe/guts out.I love odd Bucks!

Now you've GOT to post a picture of that one please!

Its true they did make this knife. I'd love to see a picture, and would love it for my collection even more, Hint Hint Hint...

MB,I sent a email to you,my daughter just took 2 pics and will send them to you when you send her a text.Feel free to post them.I have no camera and a dumb phone.Seeing all the different models makes me want them all!

If that does not work Some how some way I'll get a pic on here. The pre 1964's MUST be hard to find..

The first model 121 is very difficult to come by and the pre factory fillet are even harder. I'll try to get the pictures. Thanks

You sure have a nice collection of early knives! I enjoy seeing the older ones like these.

My daughter Jen actually took the pic..It seems so strange how out of a run of 1600 so few are ever seen. There must be a black hole that sucks up select Buck models. Some 112's with runs of 250 or even 500 never are for sale.

Thanks Matt !I really like the 346, I never had one before it's my EDC most every day.I just had to come back and look at the older fillets again there so seldom posted...

Glad to hear it, I carry one every day as well. For a knife with a price point well under a $100 it has to be the best EDC knife on the market. The 123 fits in the collection like a glove and I'm proud to own it. They never come up on the auctions, and believe me I look. Thanks again.

Did you see those six prefactory ones on the bay yesterday ? They ended for 1500$

I saw them, and believe they were a set of steak knives or a BBQ set of some sort. I have one similar to those, but mine has a pointer blade more like a 102.

Thats the only one I have seen too...I thought that being mentioned in the newsletter that a few would pop up,nope.I havent been on E;bay much can someone post a pic or a link to that listing? I like to look even if I can't buy..

There not even on the Bay, I don't know where they all went. 1600 is a very small number if you think about it. As far a I know, it means a run of 1600 knives were made. That doesn't mean 1600 were sold. People could have got them as gifts, and didn't care for the spoon and broke it off, it could have been step on and broke off, kicked in to the water by some kids playing on the dock while you were fishing, the possibilities are endless when it comes to a fillet knife. How many have you lost or broken. I have lost several and snapped a few doing stupid stuff when I was a kid. It's amazing that any fillet knives even exist from the 40s and 50s and that why I love them.
