what is the blemish?

We consider a blemish (blem) to be a error in the finish of the knife. It could be a scratch or an error in the coating. There are other cosmetic problems that could cause the factory to sell the knives as seconds or blems. In most cases you knife will look worse after you use it a few times. The biggest issue with any factory seconds (aka blem) is they do not have a warranty.
