Great to see Dan's knives at good prices without the wait. I missed out on a NCM MUCK due to a lousy internet connection, but managed to pick one up in BCM, and am really liking it.
Also good of Dan to offer to put the swedge on for free. I'll have to think about it - although the swedged version looks and probably feels better (guessing the balance point would be on the first finger as opposed to at the front of the handle on the swedge-less), the swedge-less should be more practical for batonning, and to have to a bit of extra weight forward for wrist-snap cuts.
I'm also waiting on a Bushcraft and Monster Nessie direct from Dan - with the MUCK, they will make a great family of 3V knives that should be able to take on just about anything.

Hey Derrick,
quick question though. The woodlore knife Dan made used to be in 1095 if I am not mistaken. The site says these are CPm 3V, is that correct? just want to make sure before i take a plunge
I don't think this got answered directly: I got one in the mail, and yes, they are marked 3V on the blades. Sweet design, too (I got cocobolo).

I think all Koster's KSF carries is 3V except the Survivor is A2
I just discovered Koster on KSF. I am thrilled!!! So too are obviously a lot of people. Assuming all those knives in the first post were up for sale, there has been a rush. There are what, maybe 10, 12 left out there now? I hope to get one when my bonus kicks in. I am either getting one of these, a 10/22 or hopefully both!
