A few more Pics from OEF

Ryan,

looks like a beautiful country man, too bad about the former management...

Glad you made it back safe. Good job.

Christiaan.

For those that didn't know Drew is a former Marine reservist sgt.
Knifebomber, what kind of vest are you wearing, and is that carbine a Colt Government model?

Vest is a custom made version of Special Operations Equipment's Force Vest. The right panel was modified to my needs and a few goodies were added all around. www.soegear.com is there website if interested. By far they make the best tactical gear on the planet.

The antique is a GAU-5. It was one of the first collapsible stock AR type weapons ever issued to the military. The USAF Sky Police were the first ever to be issued them and I think mine is one of the originals that was revamped a few years back. On the receiver, you still can see where the original stamping of serial number, model, maker, etc.. was X-ed out and then a new set of stamps were added below. Pretty neat piece of history if you didn't have to carry it to war. The rifle is older than me. I'd like an M-4 please! Or better yet, an M-14.

Be safe bro! There isn't a day that goes by without our saying a prayer fo' your ass to come home safe!

Give 'em hell! "Hoorah!"

Mel

p.s. Thanks for the pics! Outstanding! "KnifeBomber rocks!" :D

Ps.....stop making fun of my duty weapon. I carry a rather old XM177 (GAU) that's got the updated M-4 tube and is now called the GUU. However, some units are replacing the A2's with M-4's.
