I also bought this fantastic Saddlehorn, apparantely this was a special factory order from Case, and the numbers make this knife 1 of 250 ( not number one but one of :o ) ...I like the different shape to the secondry blade-I see it has a "TB" stamping on the blade, Im not too sure as to what this means with the connection Of Tony bose, Awesome African Blackwood scales, man this is a sweet little knife...thanks jb

I bought this neat old john Primble, stamped india steel works, I like the sclaes..man they come alive in the sun!, and the long pull and cool swedges...awesome little old and well used, yep..I can hear you when looking at this knife...but when you handle this lovely old girl...its a real little beaut, it has a lot wrong with it-as in scale shrinkage, pen blade worn away to almost nothing...but its still a very cool old knife.

I have always loved these Westerns, and Robs one came up...this is one MINTY this baby is just over 25 years old, the sheath has never ben used-nor the knife, has all factory accompanying paper and still the cardboard blade protector :D

Also, I must admit..I realy love these knives...the good ol' American Classic, the Uncle Henry's, a couple of early stamped 285's, One from Mike-great guy who sold me his 285 that is in real nice shape, and with it is another early stamped one that is in brand new condition...

Awesome Duncan! Thanks man. All nice, but you know how I feel about the oldies. ;)

I don't dig fixed blade knives much, but DAMN, that is one beautiful blade.

Very nice, Duncan. The Case small saddlehorn is a Tony Bose design for Case (the TB in the model #) and they are 3-1/2" long closed. Very nice carrying knife.

Good looking stuff, Duncan.

Thanks for the post.

Thanks for posting those pictures Duncan. I like that jack at the top. Well, shucks, I like all of them. The green handled one is very interesting. - Ed J

Paul...Jeff has answered your question-cheers for that Jeff

Dan...cheers man, ...it would great great to share a beer with you my friend, and then se you handle this knife, they just sit perfectly in the hand...although I must admit...I wont be using this, its just too goo to mark, and I have waited a few years to get a tidy one :)

Thank you frank :), I know there isnt anything too exciting...but hey...you guys will just have to wait for me to win lotto tonight..THEN!! my friends...it will be show time lol.

Thanks once again Ed , yeah that uis a cool knife the case/bose, I do realy like handeling the Primble...I have a lot of respect for the knives with that marking...they get to be made by some of the better manufacturers out there....i wonder why we dont see more of them in here?...( or maybe I gotta keep learnin' some :o )

you aint going to get this one on your hip Chuck :D lol, man I just cannot believe how tidy this knife is.

Also here is a very very tidy, early case'65, half congress..sweet little knife-although it bit me good with a stiff springed pen blade...man that didnt stop bleeding for some time :o
Plerase excuse the oild on the blades-doesnt do them any justice.

I'd like to hoist a beer and compare knives too, brother. In the next couple days I'm going to post up some great ones. My Dad just sent me a box of old knives. Mine, when I was a kid. My grandfathers' (both of them). Great grandfathers'. Amazing stuff.

Including one that shows evidence of an electrical encounter I can't believe wasn't deadly. (I think that's what it is). Gotta clean em a bit. They haven't been touched in decades. Or maybe I should actually do before pics this time. Sorry to hijack your thread.

I'm loving that Case.

Also a magnificent Shapleigh D-E 4 Blade 2 7/8" Pen knife...what a little honey, on side has a faint crack in those awesome scales, and they are some of the best jiging that I have seen..there is no doubt about that...lovely milled liners, ..this little knife has everything!
I think its a top quality little knife....I hope you like looking at it :)
