this trail is great, if any of you guys ever want to do it.. let me know.. it's 12 miles, you can do it all in a day, or you can break it up and camp along the way... i have done this hike tons of times..

me and the crazy little critter, dropping off the misses and my older son... we met up with our friend andy and his 2 kids as well...

nick-- that is the "big basin to the sea trail".. it's about 12 miles.. it is also the last leg of the "skyline to the see trail", which is about 33 miles all together... i've done both hikes numerous times...:o and get this, i used to get paid to do it...:D

thanks for all the comments folks...

Excellent pics. Nice looking family and who doesn't like donuts? Looks like you had a fun time, thanks for sharing!

Great trail man. Looks like a great hike, and you cant complain bout any hike that ends up at the ocean! That game set is cool, Im gonna have to check those out. I have a checkerboard that I made out of white oak, and walnut--too heavy for the trail though!
MMMMMM.... Doughnuts........

Your kids look more into it than I was at that age. I'd be moaning about sore legs as soon as I started climbing a hill when I was a littlun.

Great pics again Mike, looked like a good time was had by all !!!

It's always good to see the kids getting involved like that, too much sitting in the bedrooms playing on their X-Box's nowdays !!!!

thanks again folks...

we have no cable TV or video game systems... so my 2 boys(the small long haired one and the big dude with glasses) tend to play outside more than anything... my older boy saved up some $$ a while back and bought himself a nintendo DS... he still doesn't really play it that often...:o we have a TV,DVD and VCR, but they don't get used that often.. maybe a few times a week...

I wish I could get rid of the tv in my house. I did sell my big screen a while back and went down to a 27 in. I just didnt like the big tv being the focal point of the house. My boys watch alot of discovery channel stuff, and we watch quite a bit of movies, but we are all usually outside doin somethin!
