Here are a few pics from the trip today. Love the flat simplicity of the everglades. I need a canoe! :D

Saw a black racer snake.. I was lucky to catch him when i did.. after this he was gone in a flash

All in all a fun outing.. definitely need a canoe to go venture some more :D Hope you enjoyed the pics

Great pics!! I really want to go trecking around in the everglades. Maybe next winter...

How are the bugs this time of year?
 
I've been to Denali, Yellowstone, Glacier, Yosemite and most of the rest, and I've got to say that your life is incomplete if you've never been to the Everglades during the winter. In its own way, Everglades is the equal of any of the great parks.
 
he glades are dynamite..Florida over all is a great state in general if you love the outdoors..there is allot of great canoeing down there... Looks like a good day. Thanks for posting.

I want to visit the Everglades sometime. A tour on one of those airboats would be great.

Airboats are great fun- and you can quickly cover a lot of ground in one- but to really experience the Everglades a canoe or kayak can't be beat.

I've not canoed extensively in the everglades, but the few times I have-- WOW. Airboats do look fun, but they're incredibly loud and intrusive. For those who don't know-- there's a difference between the everglades and Everglades National Park. Airboats are not allowed in the Park (as far as I know.)
