Eric, You must have learned to take pictures from Contender because they suck;)
(it's very sad you have so many they can't be carried outside)

Send me your knifes and I'll take some nice pics for you.
If you don't want to send all of your knifes at once just send one or two at 1st.
Say the Trickster and the Bluegrass, then a few more the following day.
I'll return they ASA I get the pics shot....really, I will!:D
 
What is it about the sock drawer?

The last couple of knives I've received have gone right into the sock drawer without even thinking....as if it was hard coded in my DNA. I guess it will be my 'staging area' on the way to the safe.
 
lol... my sock draw is the dunce corner for my knives, a place for them to get shunned for their mediocrity in the face of others... i know... its a terrible thing to be emotionally abusive to knives... but when the thing rolls on the first use - i just cant help but berrate it with all kinds of put downs and depressing commentary... sometimes i think that maybe it shouldnt have come into existence in the first place...

Thanks for the help but I think I can do better if I just take them outside, I'll try that in a year or two and if I don't have any better luck I'll send them to you ;):p

Re: the sock drawer, I don't think I've ever stored knives in there. I store some in my T-shirt drawer but never with the socks. I have enough trouble getting my socks to match anyway, let alone needing to worry about sharp objects in there. ;):D:D

Nice set of variants. That Bluegrass Bowie is a keeper. Looks like a wicked fighter too. Did you custom order that or was it a GFD?

I may know a little of the history of that ground off SH. I have one of the originals and about four years ago I came across one exactly like yours at a flea market. It had been ground off and reblasted so you could hardly read the lettering. The guy who had it said it had belonged to his dad who had ground it off because it interfered with his grip. I bought it for $35 (he wanted $50) and cleaned it up a bit. I used it for a beater then sold to a friend for $150. He sold it on KF about a year ago. Hope I`m right on this one.

Holy Crap!! A SHI for 35!! The best thing I ever saw at our flea market was a Pakastani bowie knife! What a haul!:D
