Well I missed Stomper's thread a few days ago and finally got around to taking a few pictures of things, so I figured I'd make my own. Here is my daily carry kit.

Any criticism or suggestions are very welcome. Here are a few things I think I will change:

  • Add a firesteel
  • A couple of spare cells for the L1
  • Add a small water bag

Any other ideas? This is primarily an urban kit, so I keep it pretty light and oriented towards that setting. I also have a map of KC with me most of the time.

Nice kit!

The only thing I can think of off the top of my head is a bandanna. They can still be useful in an urban setting, such covering your mouth to help smoke inhalation, or other "stuff" in the air (if there is a really bad situation).

Dang, I knew I liked you, Brandon:thumbup: My setup's so similar it's eerie-same bag, same FAK, different model leatherman and light, though:D I find a small notebook (moleskin or similar) and pen handy, too.

You guys are right. Oddly enough, I have a bandanna, a moleskine, and a Dr Grip that I usually carry as well. I have been mixing things around lately and left them out. The moleskine and pen are a couple of the things I actually use every day. I can't get anything done without a to-do list.

Don't let Walt lie Brian... his Osprey bag is pink.

I would worry about talking shit - but his only self defense move is pulling hair...

I love that Osprey bag. Great organization. I tried a Maxpedition shoulder bag not too long ago but prefer the Osprey to look less 'tactical.'

Guys, feel free to post pics of your own setups. Especially pink bags! :D

Cool!
That Petzl I also have one and love it.
You carry such a nice kit.

What are those pen-like objects clipped on?

Yeah the e+lite is very underrated in my opinion. It's tiny and almost weightless, so it's easy to carry everywhere.

The two pen-like objects on either side of the front are small pocket sharpeners that my dad gave me. I have been practicing my freehand sharpening recently and I'm finally getting okay at putting a decent edge on with them.

The object in the middle is a small hand sanitizer spray.

You maybe right we don't see e+lite very often here.
As a climber and caver I'm a big fan of Petzl :D

Sounds like you're well prepared learning freehand sharpening
and carrying pocket sharpeners.

Nice kit, and I love that bag. I've got my "EDC Kit" stowed in an old Jansport book bag. It's nice enough, but actually a bit big for what I have in it. That Osprey shoulder bag might be just the ticket.

Looks like a nice set-up 'Ol Bud  I'de add a Sharpie pen...they will write on almost anything ! Maybe some OTC pain meds & some eye drops/wash & some latex gloves.

Instead of a water bag I would take a small plastic bottle, easier to handle. Where is the phone & GPS.

Looks nice & practical, also like the non tactical look.

I say switch out the starburst for mentos - I hate starburst. They just get all stuck in your teeth :)

Yeah it's the perfect size for a daily carry kit. Not too expensive, either.

Good call. I have a Sharpie at home, time to toss it in the bag.

Phone is in my pocket and I don't own a GPS. :(

No way man, Starburst are the best! Great food to bring your blood sugar up quickly, and they don't melt in the heat.

I like the kit, very cool. I am starting to see more of the Aqurmaria water filters recently.. I find it intriguing. Also, I see you like starburst as well, good stuff.
