Had a chance to get out last week for the first time since I've moved to Oregon. Lots of random shots for anyone who is interested.
Here are a few pictures, with a link to the full gallery at the bottom:

Great pics and good luck out there.

Other than the beauty of the place, why is everyone packing up and moving to Oregon.
First you, then Gene, who's next.
What are they giving out Barkies or something?:D

If they are giving out free knives, I sure haven't gotten mine yet! In fact, moving to Oregon made my wife create a no new knife rule!

So go get some pristine used ones on the excange;)

Great pics. That carving on your hiking stick is really cool.

Thanks! That is my "brother stick". Each one of us (out of three) got one when we were little. I actually have all three of them since my brother's don't care to much for them. We also got low serial number matching Al Mar knives... but I can't seem to get those from them. :)

great pics man... oregon is a beautiful state... we head out that way every other year or so...

gene is next...

looks like ya went up HWY 58.
be sure and go up to Waldo Lake after the snow melts.
Clearest water you will ever see in the wild. Even after the fire up there a few years ago.
enjoy man! there is a ton of fine places within a few hours of where ya now live.
be safe... Ted
have ya ventured over to the coast yet?

Oh I see by the album ya went up the McKenzie not the Willamette.
Hit the Willamette sometime. Not as far driven till ya get out of town,.
If ya go over 126 the other way (west) you will hit the ocean at Florence in about an hour and a quarter. Turn right (north) and venture up to Cape Perpetua. There is a ton of cool stuff both on the beach there and on the 20 some miles of hiking trails inland in and around Cummins Creek wilderness area. Old Growth spruce up there boy...
the drive through the coast range to get there passes some great areas also.
You'll go bout 5 miles from me over that road.
be safe... Ted

Hey if I didb't know better I'd say ya stole my hat. Great pics must have been a wonderful trip. Hopefuly I'll be able to get out some time in the next couple weeks. Nice work on that stick.

Great pics and a beautiful place you got to live there! I also see you found my Tilley hat that I seem to have misplaced a couple of weeks ago. Not sure how it found its way that far, but feel free to send it to my address any time you like (the address is printed right there on the inside label) ;)

Naked: Great pics. You are going to love Oregon.

I took a look through your album...

The pics you took below are of winter gopher runs when there is snow on the ground. When the snow melts you can see there thin tunnels they have been traveling in. Pretty neat huh. The other pic you took of the flower is Trillium.

Great pics, that looks real nice. It really resembles my terrain here but I guess we are only seperated by a little water eh !!!

Thanks for the clarification! +2pts

I grew up a bit North of Eugene. Great country, pretty low cost of living in the country, and it's class III for guns. Not a bad state at all.

Welcome to Oregon, and specifically from the looks of your pictures, welcome to Eugene. Where exactly did you go? Looks like maybe out 126.
