Hi All. I haven't been feeling well, so you may have noticed (if you happen to follow my work) that I haven't been around much. I'm starting to come out of the fog now, but slowly. For those that hope to purchase a piece and are either waiting for the right time, or the right piece, fear not... I'm still here and kicking, and don't plan on going anywhere.
These are some new pieces I finished a couple days ago. I'm happy with how all three turned out. The slim Kwaikens will make terrific EDC's, as will the Sheepsfoot, which has a terrific OAL to blade size ratio.
You may also notice that these are all hollow ground, including clips/swedges... I started my knifemaking doing only hollow grinding, then I switched to only flat for a while... now I'm going to do my best to do a mix of flat and hollow, to keep everyone happy.
Edit: Just wanted to add in case anyone was curious, bevels are done on 10" wheel and clips/swedge done on 2" wheel. The front bevel on the tanto is flat ground.
"Big Little" Compact carry Sheepsfoot, I find this to be a really well balanced, and attractive pattern. Lots of blade for its size, yet the handle doesn't feel small... I actually did a double take when I finished the final measurements on it, because what the knife seemed it should be and what it was, didn't match.
