I ordered the book, Bushcraft: Outdoor Skills and Survival...

It's fairly cheap and seems like a good read. Will this book teach me anything? I want to try my hand at traps and fire making and want to know if this is an informative guide.

The mora hunting knives, those 6-9 inch ones that come with the leather sheaths, how are they? I'm working on getting a Landi PSKX, so that'll be my main bush knife of course, but I still use my moras alot and I love them. How far down does the tang go?

The book is good. I read it piecemeal, easier to digest that way. Moras have stick tangs.

Mora's are a good knife especialy for the price, plus they perform fairly well at many bushcraft tasks. Personaly I prefer a wider blade with a full tang in the 4-5 inch range.

Kochanski's book is good especialy as a first bushcraft book providing a very good base of skills to build on.
