This is a park about 30km from Grande Prairie called pipestone, nice spot lovly scenery and some "mountainess" terrain.

There have been fossils found here, here is one big they dug up.

Very nice place, definetly be going back, there is also a nice camping area there aswell. One thing you notice is those little specs in the second last pic, they are people. it is a very big beach, takes you a long time to walk around. its a good 5-10 min walk from the edge of the woods to the water.
 
Very nice Fonly,I bet Old Codger remembers the dinosaur in the first pic when it was still alive !!!!

Looks a lot like my part of northern Saskatchewan. great pics.

here is some neck knife pics for those who feel cheated. The mule makes a great necker ,much better than the SPOT and that little sheath for the Police is really cool.

Had me going for a minute there fonly. There's a Grand Prairie in Texas between Ft. Worth and Dallas where I grew up. Didn't recognize the terrain at all. Great pics of beautiful country. Alberta, right? :D
