A few Spyderco prototype videos from the 2014 IWA Show

A few days after the Amsterdam Meet, I had to take a break from the photo selection, editing and posting process, to attend the IWA Show in Germany. It’s like a ‘mini-SHOT Show’ but a lot less ‘tactical’. At the IWA Show, Eric Glesser was kind enough to (allow and) help me shoot a few videos of some of the upcoming prototypes. I should be able to have them all finished this week. On to the first Spyderco 2014 prototype video.

One of the prototypes Spyderco showed this year at the IWA show in Germany, was the Dog Tag Folder designed by Serge Panchenko. Eric Glesser gives a quick overview of this new upcoming folder. There might have been a little mistake in this video, I overheard Eric explaining elsewhere during the show that the blade is stonewashed and not coated.

Thanks for the pics, and now vids, of Spyderco's new prototypes, Wouter. ;)

I really like the look of the Dog Tag but I don't ever see myself using one.

I agree, the Dog Tag is a nifty little guy, but I'll probably redirect funds to a more substantial model, like the Slysz Bowie!

The Chubby's inlays are CF. It was reported that they were G10. I see myself getting the Dog Tag and wearing it on a chain everyday. I would guess I would rarely use it, but you never know. It is the coolest little backup blade I have seen.

This upcoming Bowie folder, designed by Marcin Slysz, was one of my top three favorite Spyderco prototypes this year.

That bowie is sweet!

Hopefully all the support it has had so far will push it forward fast!

Finally, a slipit folder design that looks like it could take some hard use! I am very anxious to see this PITS folder, designed by Mike Read, in production.
