i wonder if that spalted maple on all these handels came from dad. dad had lots of splated maple stabilized and cut for handle blocks. he had process for cutting maple trees and knowing how to care for them to make a great handle slab.are these maple handels from larry bailey?. posted by joe his son...
 
Karl can confirm for sure but I would say yes. I have a few blocks of it as well that I am saving for the right knife. Sure beautiful wood! -Burton

Man, they all look wonderful. My favorites are the first, tenth, and thirteenth pics.
