When the Orange Millie was first coming out, I thought about having a Black Blade and started a thread that it would look better with a Black Blade, Well now that I have it and well Spyderco got it right to begin with, the thing that really makes it look good is the Clip, if the clip were black it would have looked like crap, Spyderco did get it right and well I was wrong, guess thats why they are making some of the worlds greatest knives. I used my Orange Military today and like all my other Militarys it rocks. Thanks to Spyderco.

Thanx Rick.

There is really no "right" or "wrong" in knife design. Different people are attracted to different features. Glad we came close to yours.

Now if only we could get a black-bladed Native with the orange FRN handle....hehehe.

I mean, we already have the C41BBK...

so just add some orange FRN...

I've carried one of my Orange Militarys most of this week. I can't figure out why but these Orange Millies are the smoothest and easiest Militarys out of all the others I have. The blade will flick open if that's your cup of tea but the lock up is rock solid. Zero play anywhere plus they seem to unlock and fold way easier too. I have an S30V standard, S90V, BG42 and D2 and none of them are like the two Oranges I have except in fit and finish. Why are these Oranges so smooth and easy to operate? I'm amazed. And yes, they look sweet at the same time ;)

Same here. I got two of the orange ones and they are smoother than any of my other millies. Almost as smooth as my Paramilitary if you can believe it.

I've noticed the same thing on my orange & digi camo millies
this and the Al backspacer convinced me (yeah, like I needed to be convinced :p) that Spyderco keeps on 'tinkering' even on models with already established reputations :thumbup:

Excactly how mine was. Glassly smooth opening with a solid early lockup and absolutely no blade play. Also the G-10 seemed to have a lot more grip to it, and the blade was by far the sharpest out of the box I've seen. Better then my Caly3/CF.

Good enough I'm trying to get another! :D

Mine is glassy smooth also. The g10 has alot more bite than my other g10 spydies.
