It's true; if you get a bunch of your hair caught up in any kind of rotating machinery, it will rip your scalp right off.

I read a newspaper story many years ago, about a man who was on wheat harvest. He was trying to remove something that was jammed in the header. When the object was knocked loose, the hopper thingy started spinning, grabbed his hair, and ripped his scalp off.

Pleasant dreams!

Rotating machinery poses many risks. Don't think that short hair makes it safe. Entanglement incidents come in many nasty varieties. Go to YouTube and search for entanglement accidents and you can see that hair is not the only hazard.

Indeed. There was an incident a few years ago involving a fellow who would....Amuse himself by placing his...Manhood against the spinning drive-belt of an industrial sanding machine.
The inevitable occurred....
Keep it in your pants, lads.

Good reminder, Gollnick. Rings, bracelets, wristwatches, loose long sleeves. We can't be reminded too often, to keep all of these items clear of machinery.
